2. Quick League Summary

Back to top

Best Ball Union is a multi-league fantasy football system consisting of independent 10-team Best Ball leagues operating on Sleeper.

Each league uses a Head-to-Head format with Median Matchup scoring, allowing teams to earn up to two results each week.

The season runs Weeks 1-17 of the NFL regular season.

Each league crowns its own champion based on win-loss record, while all teams across every league also compete for:

  • Overall season high score
  • Weekly high score prizes

Best Ball Union uses Progressive PPR scoring and a draft-and-hold roster structure, meaning there are no waivers, trades, or lineup management during the season.

3. Season Structure

Regular Season

Weeks 1-17 of the NFL regular season.

Each week teams receive two matchup results:

  • Scheduled head-to-head opponent

  • Draft Type: Snake draft
  • Draft Timer: 2 minutes per pick (fast draft)

Draft Order

Draft order will be randomized after each league is filled.

Draft Timing

All Best Ball Union drafts will occur after the conclusion of the NFL preseason.

Managers within each league may attempt to agree on a draft time.

If a league cannot reach agreement, the commissioner will assign a draft time.

Whenever possible, leagues will draft on the same day to prevent competitive advantage caused by late preseason injuries or roster changes.

  • Total points scored
  • Most weekly high scores within the league
  • Coin flip

9. Overall High Score Competition

Back to top

Final standings are determined using Sleeper's official scoring totals after Week 17, including any stat corrections.

10. Weekly High Score Prizes

Back to top

Best Ball Union may award weekly prizes for the highest score across all leagues.

Weekly prizes are only activated if the number of participating leagues generates sufficient prize pool funding.

When weekly prizes are active, the highest scoring team across all leagues for that week receives the prize.

If multiple teams tie for the weekly high score, the prize will be split evenly.

11. Prize Structure

Back to top

All league entry fees are collected and distributed through LeagueSafe.

Each Best Ball Union league contains 10 teams paying $10 each, creating a $100 league prize pool.

Standard Prize Model (No Weekly Prizes)

If participation does not meet the threshold required for weekly prizes, the following allocation is used:

  • 75% -> League Winners
  • 25% -> Overall High Score Pool

Per League:

  • $75 -> League Champion
  • $25 -> Overall High Score Pool

Weekly Prize Model

If participation reaches the weekly prize threshold, the allocation changes to:

  • 70% -> League Winners
  • 20% -> Overall High Score Pool
  • 10% -> Weekly Prize Pool

Per League:

  • $70 -> League Champion
  • $20 -> Overall High Score Pool
  • $10 -> Weekly Prize Pool
